A new novel from beloved fantasy author Mary Robinette Kowal featuring the mysterious spirit corps and their heroic work in World War I.

Ginger Stuyvesant, an American heiress living in London during World War I, is engaged to Captain Benjamin Hartshorne, an intelligence officer. Ginger is a medium for the Spirit Corps, a special Spiritualist force.

Kowal briefly talked about the premise a few years back at a book signing and I might have frightened her wit...

4.0 Ghost Talkers, by Mary Robinette Kowal
Mary Robinette Kowal’s Ghost Talkers is a compulsive, affecting read. I read the whole book in two sittings because I just had to know what happened next in Kowal’s alternate version of World War I. Ghost Talkers opens in July of 1916. British, French, and German troops are bogged down in the trench...
