Initially this book appears to be a collection of short stories. All the narratives are brought together in the last story though. Ward is a good writer, and even though I liked some stories better than others, they were all enjoyable. It's a little reminiscent of Girl in Hyacinth Blue by Susan Vree...
I enjoyed Katie Ward‘s earliest chapters the most in this book, yet once we left the distant past to times that encompassed technology that I was familiar with, my attention drifted a bit.
