"It's just enough heart-wrenching. Very sweet, emotional, with no melodrama. Okay, there were some intentionally melodramatic parts. But the silly parts were silly and the sweet parts were sweet."*Dear Author Top Reads of 2012~~~For cat lovers everywhere, this sweet, quirky, and delightful romance is about a young woman and her matchmaking cat.A little bit of mystery, a whole lot of whimsy. About the book:When a matchmaking cat takes it upon himself to find his young mistress a new mate, he accidentally stirs up memories better left forgotten.Melody's husband was murdered by what seemed a random act of violence. Two years later, the killer hasn't been caught, and Melody is coping in unhealthy ways. Although acquaintances have tried to keep in touch, Melody has cut herself off from most of the people in her old life. Max, her eccentric cat, doesn't approve of her new friends, he's tired of the parade of losers, and he finally takes it upon himself to find Melody a new man. This book is 30,000 words, which equates to about 150 print pages.***NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHORUSA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHORRITA AWARD WINNER FOR ROMANTIC SUSPENSEDAPHNE DU MAURIER AWARD WINNER FOR SUSPENSE

2.5 Cute Quick and Furry
Cats really are smarter than humans, and Max is one of the smarter ones. Max the matchmaker, makes his move and has excellent taste. 5.0 The Girl With the Cat Tattoo (Cool Cats #1) by Theresa Weir
I feel in love with Max after the first line: "Max had been a cat as long as he could remember, but he was pretty sure he'd been a rock star in one of his previous lives." That just about sums up Max's personality. He is an amazing character, and half the book is told from his perspective. The only ...

3.0 The Girl With the Cat Tattoo [Review]

I don't love romantic suspense, so this turn of events was not really a good thing for me. Having said a...

I am not really a cutesy book reader, but one of my groups put this up for a buddy read, so I relented. "It's a kitler.""Kitler?""A cat with a mustache." Max is a loyal pet. He w...

2.0 Girl with the Cat Tattoo
I didn't like this. It seemed sort of hokey when I read the description, but was so highly rated, I thought I'd give it a try. It turns out that it's just not for me. It seemed silly and not romantic at all.
