This is the sequel to Crank. After giving birth, Christina stays clean for a few month, but then decides to reunite with the monster. She's going to control it. But she learns that there is no such thing as control when it comes to meth. This story goes further down the road of addictions, as the ...

The continuing story of Kristina and her battle with Crystal Meth. I found this so much more difficult to read, so much more emotionally impacting. Was it because her baby at the start of the book, is the same age as mine? Watching her make bad decision after bad decision, and continually choosin...

Also appears on The Screaming Nitpicker.Three months after her son Hunter's birth, Kristina is going insane and stir-crazy without crank and the freedom to do as she pleases. Leaving her baby boy Hunter in the dust, she jumps right back into her old habits and gets even worse. This time around, the ...

These books are extremely deep, even though they could go deeper. She writes clever verses in different shapes that create letters or objects she is writing about. With this being based on her own daughter's life, the real-life aspect makes it even more interesting. I can't imagine myself in her sit...

Fantastic follow up to Crank. Written in the same free verse, it was heart-wrenching to watch Kristina give back in to the monster and to Bree...and watch her spiral out of control again.
