I am going to get some slack for stating this, but I loved this book. Colbert has been on the scene for a while, but I just now discovered him and his wonderful jabs at the follies of our political system. This book made me laugh at some points to the brink of tears. This should be required readi...

This was a book that I came into reading thinking that I wouldn't like it. I was definitely wrong. It was hilarious, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys political humor.

A funny book, but, like most books of its type, it's more of a flip through than a steady read.Note: Having a transcription of the White House Correspondents Dinner routine is worth the cover price.

Classic Colbert. I enjoyed it, just not as much as say watching his show. I think Colbert is only complete with his mannerisms able to be viewed- such as his entertaining facial expressions. Also, at times it felt like he was trying too hard to be funny (not your style Colbert!).

I was extremely disappointed in this book. I love Stephen Colbert and his show makes me laugh out loud. Really 3.75. I think I would prefer the audio book, so that I could hear his ~sexy voice instead of wearing out my imagination.

It's not really surprising to say that this is pretty much just like his show. About half of the material is new and the other half any fan of Colbert will recognize. It has the same humor and interesting side notes and extras. However I couldn't read this all at once, it lost it's humor after awhil...

Hilarious. Not as hilarious as the Stewart book, but still great. I have to read it in Colbert's voice for it to really work. The chapter on religion has the most laugh-out-loud moments. Great use of marginalia.

I have been looking forward to reading this for a while. Our library finally got the new bestsellers collection processed, so I have checked it out. I just started it. * * * *Actually, the book is a bit disappointing. It has its funny moments, but there is a lot of fluff in between the funny parts. ...
