Warning! Spoilers ahead for both this book and How to Kill a Rock Star (HTKARS). Read at your own risk.Oh, how I wanted to love this book. Sigh. Unfortunately, it fell flat for me. I won't lie, the writing was exemplary of everything that I expected from Tiffanie DeBartolo. It was rythmic and beauti...

3.5/5God Shaped Hole gives me what I wanted out of HTKRS. Recall, that that one had me wishing it ended at a certain point, going on as it did took away from the depth of what I was feeling, the ending felt contrived and much too Hollywood. I don't know how to use words to describe what a beautiful story this is. Tiffanie DeBartolo has such a great way of conveying words and pros...

I loved Jacob and I was rooting for them. Near the end, I did get annoyed with Trixie because I felt like (for her age) she...

To truly appreciate this book, I think you need to be living it. This story touched me so profoundly that I am in awe. I won't read it again. I can't read it again. However it is forever ingrained in my mind as a classic love story.Heart-wrenchingly beautiful.

My reasons for reading this book were two fold: 1. I read "How to Kill a Rock Star" and enjoyed it. 2. I love Chris Cornell with a fierce tenth-grade passion and the idea of "Preaching the End of the World" as being a catalyst for true love made me excited.I was disappointed. The middle dragged on a...
