My first encounter with Pratchett. J picked this one up the other week, and considering his line of work, it's apropos. So far, a few great bits. Forgot how much I loved Adora Belle Dearheart. Pratchett writes great characters. His female characters are like strong mints, refreshing and a little bit surprising.
This book was a lot more similar to Thud! than to the Color of Magic, and I really enjoyed that. There was an actual story-line (which was hilarious! a convicted con-artist who is saved from being executed in order to be offered a government position!) and what seemed to be a point to the whole thin...
