Okay, so this wasn't brilliant or incredibly original or anything that a 5-star novel should normally be, but it was funny and fast-paced and hugely entertaining. Pratchett's Discworld, with its hodge-podge of technologies, cultures, and magic, into which he shoehorns whatever anachronistic notion w...

Terry Pratchett has done a lot with his Discworld novels, and his creative output showed no sign of stopping as the 'aughts' rolled past. Most of his novels, if not all, are good and all are fun to read, but to tell the truth, many of his early ones were extended riffs on pop culture realities such ...

My first encounter with Pratchett. J picked this one up the other week, and considering his line of work, it's apropos. So far, a few great bits. Must say I've already started to see some of the dark humour in this one. For the longer review, please go here:http://www.epinions.com/review/Going_Posta...

Forgot how much I loved Adora Belle Dearheart. Pratchett writes great characters. His female characters are like strong mints, refreshing and a little bit surprising.

This book was a lot more similar to Thud! than to the Color of Magic, and I really enjoyed that. There was an actual story-line (which was hilarious! a convicted con-artist who is saved from being executed in order to be offered a government position!) and what seemed to be a point to the whole thin...
