Not as good as the first book, but I enjoy it enough to finish the series.

On the good side, there is some character depth and development in the central characters and there is a degree of moral complexity. On the other hand, these are submerged in so much hi-tech action that it became boring to me and I just wanted it to end.

After finishing the last page of Golden Son I was too paralysed with shock to even consider formulating a coherent review of this book. Aw, Golden Son. The book, that while I enjoyed, caused a book slump which I am never too happy about. I started it, but for whatever reason, had trouble reading and it took up a decent chunk of my month. I definitely liked it more than Red Rising. I knew the storyline of Red Rising had a lot of pr...
