This book is my all time favorite. Of course the movie was incredible as well but the book gives a different view of Scarlett that seemed more realistic to me. I have been intrigued by Rhett and Scarlett for as long as I could remember and they just don't make a read as incredible as this in my op...

I really, really wish the ending could have been different--maybe a little more substantial. But it was a great read nonetheless.

On my quest to insert American classic writers and their books into my reading, I picked up Gone With the Wind. Scarlett O'Hara waited a long time for me to read about her colorful life. As everyone knows, the book is intimidating it's so long, but I read it in a week forgetting about those things ...

I have read this book probably 3 times and love it. The story just sucks me in everytime. I am amazed at Scarlett's strength, yet passion. It always amazes me.

I love this book-even though it is politcally incorrect! I've read it at least 3 times.

Unfortunately for me (I fell in love with Scarlett and Rhett's immortal love story because of the movie) the "original" story isn't as gripping.Too long, too winding, boring compared to the (still long) movie version. And to think I've always wondered just why the heck the movie stretched for more t...

If you've seen the movie you've really only got part of the story. GWTW was my first experience with an EPIC novel. I read it for the first time in the late 80's or early 90's when my mom passed her original copy on to me. I've gone on to read it so many times that I had to purchase a new copy so th...

I re-read this book last summer - what a story! Yes, it's cliched, but wow, what a story! I love this book, and will revisit it many times. I always feel like I'm right there.
