Reads like a blog, a good blog with humor. Provides a good synopsis of many bible moments. Started as a contrast with Complete Infidel's Guide to the Koran; enjoyed both books.

Reminds you just how dark, messy, and complicated the Bible really is. The author is a secular Jewish man who read the Bible for the first time and kept a journal of his thoughts. Funnier and more honest than most commentaries.
An interesting read that kept me entertained but left me wanting to experience for myself what the author is talking about.
