cluttered to read. Okay story about leaving friends to new places. But both the story and the drawings are cluttered (maybe intentionally). So it's much more painful to read than Blankets.
Craig Thompson never fails to touch a raw nerve. He reminds us of this long forgotten broken part of ourselves that still needs healing. He captures our attention in the details of his drawings, like the way pieces of something broken can look beautiful up close.
A strange touching little story about a turtle who feels he must go off to sea and leave behind his mouse best friend.
