I read this book back in high school around the age of 16, and I can remember loving it (which led me to read the next 10 or so books around the same time - however, I had to give up in Narcissus in Chains because well... if you've read it, you know).I re-read it this time around for the Vaginal Fan...
No, this isn't a deathless classic, but for what it is, it's top-notch. That is, it's a sometimes scary and creepy but throughout very entertaining book that straddles the line between dark fantasy and horror, with an appealingly kick-ass heroine and fine world-building. While the storyline was good and the characters were pretty good the was a lot of things that were just too graphic or just plain gross and that really turned me off. The narrator did a bang up job but I found all the punctuating music annoying and distracting from the story. Over all 2.5 Stars
Word count: about 95 000Rating: “Winter was not waiting” 3,5*Welcome to the world of egotistic, bloodthirsty, short-tempered, ruthless, amoral monsters that don't give a flying fuck about you! Re-reading this book was both a good and a bad idea. Good, because it reminded me what I liked about ...

I have to admit that this is my favorite love-to-hate series. It has so many faults it isn't even funny after a point but damn it's addicting. You know you shouldn't, you know it's bad but you still come back for more.Anita is a dilemma for me. On one hand she is strong, gutsy, snarky enough but not...

Well I finally gave in and read it. I have put off reading this series for years since there seems to be so many mixed reviews on it. I read it for a group challenge. I got the audio so that made it a very easy read for me. I liked it and I'm very interested to see what happens next but it's not lik...
