You might think it plain enough but it's really wonderful. Just don't expect it to be action packed... it's Bukowski. Give it a chance. You'll be glad you did.

Pretty good. Was a little disappointed in the quick ending but I dig Bukowski's ability to make a reader relate to a character even when they are completely unalike. Good!

I'm not a huge Bukowski fan. His short stories are too repetitive, and a little too concerned with body fluids. This book, however, is hysterical.

Though it sorta fizzles out, this is a pretty good autobiography by Bukowski. It's filled with the normal Bukowski stuff -- crazy, mean parents, his acne-scarred adolescence, the development of his tough guy attitude, and the heartbreaking moments where he's just a lonely guy. I suspect only Bukowsk...
