I have never been a big Harry Potter fan and I haven´t even read book six and seven yet. But the audiobooks narrated by Stephen Fry might actually change this. He is a genius, at least when it comes to the narration of these books (I guess he is a genius in every other aspect as well, but lets just ...

For more reviews, check out my blog Craft-CycleThis book is absolutely beautiful. I have read the original book a handful of times and loved it. I did not think that I could possibly love it more. But then the illustrated edition came out and it is spectacular. The same amazing story that captured m...

Wow.... This story really threw me off. From suspecting Draco Malfoy to the main character Harry Potter... Every evidence just throws me off!! It is only until the end where this book shocks you with the main problem!

My Harry Potter reread continues (though I started it last year . . . oops) with The Chamber of Secrets, one of my personal favorites in the series. My reread of CoS this time included the audiobook (read by Jim Dale) and the illustrated version. The audiobook is great. I'm not sure how I feel about the illustrated version. The illustrations are beautiful, but sometimes they don't match up with my own vision of Diagon Alley or Hogwarts or eve...

The review below was based on my first read of the Harry Potter books, ages ago and in Dutch. Updated reviews will follow after a reread (in English) I plan to do. When I first read the Harry Potter series, almost ten years ago now, I was mostly looking for what made people think it was a great se...

Once again Stephen Fry's narration was a delight! This book shows the continued plight of Harry under the tyrannical rule of his muggle relatives. It also shows the bond and camaraderie between specifically Harry and Ron, and also between the Gryffindor trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione. I love the...

Okay. So, you know how sometimes you read a book that is beloved by almost everyone on the planet, but you’re not really as into it as everyone else because you have absolutely no nostalgia attached to the book itself or the author, but it’s also been so long since you read it that you can’t really ...
