A Scottish-Canadian Blethering On About Books
This is a novel where J.K. Rowling's games metaphor, always present in the Quidditch chapters of her stories, is taken to another level. About the first half of this novel centres around the Quidditch World Cup, which for plot purposes brings us into the larger world with a vengeance, providing the ...

My favorite HP book. In fact, I've read the book so many times that the parts that made me cry the first couple times, while still upsetting, no longer made me cry. I cried this time, though. Jim Dale is a fantastic narrator.

I actually love most of this book, in which Our Hero Harry is entered into a dangerous international magical contest. I love that Rowling's world is given some space to breathe here - it's not as tightly constructed as the first three, but that's made up for in part by the inventiveness of the world...

**Spoiler Free** I cant get into this review too much without spoiling it, its the fourth book out of seven. Overall, in Goblet of Fire I really feel like things were heating up, it was becoming darker. Pieces of the whole puzzle were being put together. I love how this one had the Triwizard To...

Probably the best of the Harry Potter books to this point. It is considerably darker than the previous books and everyone is starting to notice the opposite sex. That was absolutely necessary to keep the books fresh at all. Even still, the book can be a little too formulaic. I don't see the need...
