This book wasn't bad, and was sort of interesting in that the kid saw a bunch of stuff while he was under the knife. I do wonder if his imagination took over a bit as he reveals more and more in the years that follow, but can't really judge. Perception is a strange thing.

I needed this book at this time in my life. Extremely uplifting to me. This is a story of a young boy who experienced a trip to heaven during an emergency surgery. It describes the struggle his family went through and how they made it through many hardships. I was raised in the Christian faith and ...

Myself, who never had religion (of any kind) in my household growing up, i was always curious about god but always shunned church goers or bible thumpers if you will as strange. (I had a hard time rating this book... it's hard to do so without seeming like I'm passing judgment on the validity of the Burpo's claim)This nonfiction book tells the story of Colton, a 3-year-old pastor's kid who has a near-death experience and later reveals to his parents that he was in heaven du...

This book was not exactly preachy. It's just hard to put into words how I feel.If we are to believe that this book is 100% real. (Yes I'm skeptic) There are parts...

It took some time but I think I finally got it.I like the idea of this book. I believe in the power of prayer and miracles. But what was the tipping point of me was how every detail the boy described to his father was exactly what was described in the Bible. There was no element of "surprise". The b...

Whether or not you actually believe the events of the book, it is well written and an entertaining read. For many people this will be a confirmation of already held beliefs. For others it will be read as a work of fiction. For me, it is a study in the power that one's faith can have in their own ...

This is a book for those who can step out in faith and not get bogged down by judgments or questions of plausibility. If you've never had a supernatural experience even at the smallest of levels, then you may not be able to relate. Who is anyone to say that another person's experience didn't happen?...
