Maybe racing through this series for my end of the year book count goal...but it's enjoyable now I've steeled myself against the unpleasantness.

OMG! I need Queen of the Darkness! I want more of Daemon! This book was wonderful but it didn't have enough of him. Although I did enjoy getting to know Lucivar more, and I just love Saetan, he makes me laugh. And Jaenelle is epic in this one.

After the excruciating ending of Daughter Of Blood Jaenelle needs to piece back her crystal chalice and this takes time...a long time. While she tries so hard there are three men fighting for her, Saetan who unmercifully demands the Guardianship of Jaenelle before the Dark Council. She is after all ...
Anna Bobs Her Hair - Silent Reader, Talking Books
At times, it felt as if Heir to the Shadows wandered aimlessly. It was also difficult acquiring a sense of time. Years could pass without notation. I had to rely on the author noting Jaenelle's age or some other reference to time written within the chapter. Anyway, it wasn't until the end that th...

I absolutely love this series. At times, it can be a bit confusing when the author jumps years ahead in time without warning and some of the subject matter can be quite graphic and disturbing and certainly meant for adults, not YA readers. Overall, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite fantasy...
