Not too bad. Struggled to get into it, but the short chapters helped. Does read like a little bit of a soap opera, but by the end, I want to see what happens next with the Mage Imperator, Hyrogues, the Colicos, and more.
An entertaining and fun read that really has me looking forward to the rest of the series. Recommended for anyone who enjoys the space opera genre.4.5 stars
