Nineteen-year-old Eliza has run the Trinity Star Ranch since she was a mere child. Though she is every inch a lady, she has no trouble standing up to any man. That includes the tough-looking drifter she finds camping on Bendalin land. Little did she dream that Jonathan Blair was the friend who'd saved her uncle's life on the battlefield, or that his dark good looks and brash seduction will tempt her to forget both the rules of deportment and the duty she owes her family. Jonathan takes what he wants from life. And he wants Eliza. Though she is already engaged to be married and far outclasses him, he will let nothing stand in his way.

3.5 Highland Warrior by Connie Mason
Connie Mason is definitely one of the better romance writers at the moment. Her books have a lot more depth of character and better writing than a lot of her contemporaries. The romance and wittiness of the characters was great too.

Granted, there are readers who enjoy that type of book and while I'm not knocking them I am definitely not one of them. You are not going to get yo...
