My Rating: 4.0 Let me tell you straight up: I could not put Hourglass down. At all. When I had to do my chores, I ended up doing them half-completely while reading Hourglass at the same time. I died a little in the inside when I finally had to put the book down to focus on my dreaded task. The thing...

3.5 starsFirst, I love this cover - it's absolutely beautiful and what initially drew me to this book! Hourglass gives us 17 year old Emerson Cole. Her world is a bit different than the typical teen, in that she sees things that aren't really there...people and things from the past like soldiers o...

Keeping it short:2.5 stars. Weak begining, one dimensional characters, and only a somewhat interesting plot...more development into the story and world building would have improved things exponentially! The only saving grace was the last few chapters, but they ended all too soon.

For whatever reason, when this book came out, it never really caught my attention. I read a lot of good reviews on it but since my to be read pile is so large, I never took the time to add it. I have recently signed up for netgalley and when I requested Timepiece, I didn’t realize it was the seque...

Seventeen-year-old Emerson has a difficult past, her parents were killed in a tragic accident, she suffered a series of halluciations and was sectioned after conc...

I’ve been really eager to read the Hourglass series for quite some time now. I expected a lot of things from the novel and had very high expectations since I have read a few reviews that said it was simply amazing, though I have to admit that Hourglass stirred a lot of mixed emotions in me. Having...

While the premise has great potential, the characters are 2D and fairly generic teen romance ideals.Handsome male leads fall over themselves for her. She has no true flaws: she can beat up a grown man, she has sass and spunk, and she's unique and special in a way that can never be earned. Her decisi...

Sometimes you read a book and then you kick yourself for not reading it sooner because it's just that good and people have been telling you how awesome it is. Hourglass falls right into that category! I was really excited to start Hourglass and then I noticed how many of my friends on Goodreads had ...
