This is the first "story" in the Wool Omnibus series that took the world by storm in 2011. At 49 pages long, the tale can be read in a single sitting, and more than likely you will do just that, because you will find yourself immediately getting sucked into this one from the first paragraph. In th...
I am in love with this series. Wool wasn't perfect, but I loved it pretty hard core.Dystopians and I haven't gotten along for a while now, but Wool has reminded me of everything I love about a great dystopian. So what's the dystopian hook with Wool? A silo. The earth has become uninhabitable, and tho...
A bit boring, probably has a deeper meaning than I'm capable of reaching......But the words were still beautiful and the picture they pointed was vivid. Hugh Howey certainly is a treasure and his books are always a pleasure to read!
original source: http://thefaultinourblogs.blogspot.comSo I discovered after I'd finished this edition of Wool that the different sections within were published as separate novellas, or novels, or something. This edition, called Wool Omnibus, is the first in a four-part bigger series and I look forw...
These stories just get better and better and deeper and richer with each installment. Can't wait to get the 4th and 5th. The twists have been elusive until they are right on top of me or in my rear view mirror. Nice to be surprised (even if I'm usually depressed after)!
One more example of why I love Hugh HoweyWhat a great story! It's only a 30 minute read, but in that short time you get it all...a story that intrigues, a character you feel, a plot that excites, and an ending that surprises. Way to go Hugh Howey!
This is the second novella that gave birth to Wool. In this book we follow Mayor Jahns and Deputy Mames as they travel downards into the bowels of the silo so they can interview a candidate to sheriff position. Along the way we see those two characters developed much more than the first novella and ...
Wool is a popular indie book that has received lots of buzz. It’s pretty good, and is probably better than the 3 stars that I am giving. However, I consumed Wool as an audiobook, and I did not enjoy the narrator. Her character voices, especially for the bad eggs, had that over the top Broadwa...
I just reviewed the Wool Omnibus of which this novella is the first part, so I thought I'd leave the section of that review that deals with this novella here.Wool is set (I believe) in the near future, the year in relation to our calendar is not indicated but there is no weird far future tech to spe...
I imagine most struggling self published authors would like to follow the trail blazed by Hugh Howey. He hit the ground running with the novella [b:Wool|12287209|Wool (Wool, #1)|Hugh Howey|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327889474s/12287209.jpg|17263666] which is now available as a free e-book. I can...
