A classic, which unfortunately is all-to-often censored for completely idiotic reasons. The first in a series, my son loved it so much that we've continued with the rest of the Dolittle books.
I'm going to give a review of my 1988 version of this book. I loved it as I read it to my children. They loved it. It is a classical story about a man who loves animals and can communicate with them. Something a lot of people believe they can do now, but Doctor Dolittle did it best.
