Actual Rating: 2.5 StarsThree months have passed since the beginning of the FAYZ (Fallout Alley Youth Zone) and food is becoming scarce. Kids are living off of rations of canned vegetables and looking to Sam Temple for guidance. The fields where food has grown are infested with man-eating worms, and...

Seen at Scott Reads ItHunger is the sequel to Michael Grant's Gone and in my opinion Hunger was a stronger novel than Gone. Many of the problems that I had with Gone were nonexistent in Hunger. I am really glad that I read Hunger and that I didn't drop the Gone series.Hunger starts with Sam, Astrid ...

Is this series any good?

This, the second book in the "Gone" series, was every bit as intense as the first, and perhaps even more dark and desperate. As the children of Perdido Beach continue in their "Lord of the Flies"-esque, adult-free existence, they're now fighting a lack of food AND a giant radiation monster. I did ...

Rather violent, with an unusual number of deeply disturbed characters, as well as many who are nothing but power-hungry bullies, this is still a great read. So much happens, although the main characters take just enough time to think things out a bit in advance. My least favorite quality about the bo...
