This is a picture and it follows Heb-Mefert, who we follow through her life until she becomes a mummy and is put on display in a museum. Really wonderful and beautifully written. It's a great picture book
Heb-Nefert's posthumous poetic narration is the most humanizing approach that I've seen applied to this topic in this format. Most mummy themed picture books choose to go the uber-detailed/gross-out route, which definitely has its place! But it's also nice to remind children that the icky withered ...
