The story of Cassandra Mortmain is interesting, and not just because she's an interesting character but it shows the sheer utter poverty it was possible to live in during the inter-war era in England. Reread this, only my second time and many years removed from the first. If possible, I loved it more this time around. The problem is just I like Stephen so much regardless of his extreme stupidity and loyalty. And I feel that Cassandra is just so... typical teenager, of whom I hold no interest. Rose is not a good girl but not such a bitch at all, whom I found ok. But I have no idea why Simon is interesting. Moreove...
