Another quick trip down memory lane, courtesy of the BBC's full cast audio adaptation of this novel starring Ian Carmiachel (who also starred in the first of the Beeb's two TV series based on Sayers's novels). This was Sayers's revenge on the advertising business, based on her own early job experi...

This is one of my favorite Peter Wimsey/Harriet Vane books - love the 30s university setting and the way Harriet finally comes to see Peter and their relationship in a different light.

It's been awhile since I indulged in a Peter Wimsey mystery. These days I seem to prefer the ones without Harriet Vane. This audiobook version was expertly narrated by Ian Carmichael. Such a treat!

Enjoyed this greatly, a really interesting mystery. And colour me smug - I worked out the murder weapon before Wimsey.

Really interesting. Took me a little time to get into the story, and the end, when it came, seemed rather abrupt. I found the mystery itself quite fascinating, and not a tame as I'd expected. I appreciated the way the author hinted and suggested the really gruesome bits without having the be really ...
