Sage Bradley wants to make the world a better place. He's handsome, smart, wealthy, a talented artist and always follows his heart. Unfortunately, someone wants him dead. Fate brings a mysterious man to Sage's door and a romantic night turns into a tangled web of passion and danger. “What’s your big move?” Lavender asked.“Hmmm?” Sage hummed as his knee rubbed against Lavender’s under the table.“How do you get me from the table to the bed?” He made his voice low and drowsy and Sage’s lips curved softly as his head tilted closer. His hair smelled like coconut and lime and Lavender wanted to rub his nose in it and fill his lungs with Sage. “It’s not going to work if I tell you,” he pointed out and Lavender shook his head. “I’m afraid you won’t get to use it,” he said and Sage’s brows fell.“I won’t?” He asked and Lavender laughed silkily.“We’re going straight to your bedroom,” he said and Sage bit his lip and Lavender had to swallow a groan.“Well… Right about now, I tell you how captivating you are,” he said as his knuckles slid along Lavender’s jaw. “You look like you were chiseled from marble and your lips might be the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” he whispered as his eyes clung to his lips. He was on the verge of begging for a kiss when Sage tilted Lavender’s face back and his fingertips trailed down his neck. “I’d tell you that I need to sketch you, just like this, because I’ll never find a more beautiful subject,” Sage said and Lavender chuckled softly despite the heat and throbbing in his groin. Sage might be the most purely good person Lavender had ever met but he could also be delightfully bad.“You paint abstracts,” he argued teasingly.“Ssshhh… Play along,” he breathed and Lavender nodded slightly. He wanted Sage’s fingers to travel much lower. “Then, I’d beg you to let me capture you, just like this,” he said as he stood and cradled Lavender’s face in his hands as if he was examining something priceless.“Here? At the table?” He asked and Sage’s hand splayed against the center of his chest and heat burst under Lavender’s skin.“There isn’t an artist alive who could express the desire and awe I feel right now,” he said and Lavender gripped the edge of the table and his seat to keep his hands from tearing Sage’s shirt off. Sage ducked and his hand pushed down Lavender’s chest as his lips brushed his ear. “I’d ask you to pose for me then lead you to that ladder,” he murmured and Lavender looked over his shoulder.“The ladder?” He asked and Sage nodded, letting his lips drag along his cheek. Lavender wasn’t sure if it was the wine or if Sage’s nerves had settled but he was really good.“I’d position you so you looked like you were descending from the heavens, because you can’t be made of mortal things,” he said and Lavender stood and pulled Sage against his chest.“What happens at the ladder?” He asked as his hand curved around Sage’s neck and the other wrapped around his ass possessively and Sage groaned as he took Lavender’s face in his hands.“I slowly undress you and beg you to let me worship your cock,” he said quickly before his lips crashed into Lavender’s. His tongue was demanding as it twisted and probed and Lavender hummed in approval as he danced Sage toward the bedroom. Sage’s hands pushed at his coat and he grabbed them before he could find the holster and pinned them at his sides and backed him into a wall.
