So I know that when they make a movie of book one is usually better then the other...in this case the movie was was better....it was my enjoyment of the movie that prompted me to pick up the audio...and man this one took over two months to finish....at first I had a hard time with the narra...
Eh... this didn't hold my interest the way I thought it would. I can't even point to one specific flaw; I just didn't care for it. It happens. Oh, well, now I don't have to waste time with the next two books in the series. Time saved!
I really liked the film version of this, but the book bored me to tears. I don't know if it's just the problem of the translation. It was a struggle to read, and I couldn't bring myself to finish or care about its last 100-or-so pages.
I read this back in middle school, and I thoroughly enjoyed it so I decided to try re-reading it because of the sequels. I absolutely loved it and probably would have rated it five stars. Since its been quite a number of years, I do not feel the same as I have in the past. Yet, I still enjoyed it.

I thought the concept of 'Inkheart' was really interesting. I like the idea of reading characters out of stories, and the characters in this book were extremely colourful. On the whole I enjoyed 'Inkheart' but I did find it overly descriptive and too long. It could have been about 100 pages shorter....
