So I know that when they make a movie of book one is usually better then the other...in this case the movie was was better....it was my enjoyment of the movie that prompted me to pick up the audio...and man this one took over two months to finish....at first I had a hard time with the narra...

Eh... this didn't hold my interest the way I thought it would. I can't even point to one specific flaw; I just didn't care for it. It happens. Oh, well, now I don't have to waste time with the next two books in the series. Time saved!

I really liked the film version of this, but the book bored me to tears. I don't know if it's just the problem of the translation. It was a struggle to read, and I couldn't bring myself to finish or care about its last 100-or-so pages.

I read this back in middle school, and I thoroughly enjoyed it so I decided to try re-reading it because of the sequels. I absolutely loved it and probably would have rated it five stars. Since its been quite a number of years, I do not feel the same as I have in the past. Yet, I still enjoyed it.

A good book, much better than the movie! I really like the thought and ideas that went into this story.

One Christmas, I received all three books that make up the Inkheart trilogy in my stocking and I devoured them al...
My sodding goodreads replacement (maybe)
Cute fantasy novel with an interesting and creative premise, but not a book I felt invested in enough to continue with the rest of the series.

I thought the concept of 'Inkheart' was really interesting. I like the idea of reading characters out of stories, and the characters in this book were extremely colourful. On the whole I enjoyed 'Inkheart' but I did find it overly descriptive and too long. It could have been about 100 pages shorter....

I've always loved the idea of what the worlds within books are like. Its a fact that I like zany, whimsical and abstract ideas. I mean think about what life would be like if the sky was water and the seas were air for instance. See thoughts like that blow your head in. And now think instead about bo...

Could not finish this. Quit reading a little less than halfway through. What a boring book! It reminded me of reading The Fellowship of the Ring - NOTHING happens. Just boring characters traveling from place to place. Next.
