Trella is a scrub. She lives on the lower levels of the Inside and cleans the water and air ducts in order to keep everyone safe from contamination. Life as a scrub isn’t a pleasant experience. All the scrubs live in cramped quarters, work ten hour shifts with hardly any time off, and are watched...

Most of the time, I had trouble understanding the pipe system but otherwise, I got sucked into reading it - sort of like the Hunger Games but not as detailed or romantic. Still, I couldn't put it down so kudos for achieving that.

Interesting summary up there. I have to be honest. I put off reading this book for awhile because of that summary. I'm not exactly sure why, but maybe it's because I prefer a little more information than what was given. That's just my preference and I know not everyone feels the same way. Either way...

I think it needed more character development. I didn't really have any strong feelings for the characters. I like the concept of i...

It took me a couple of chapters to get into this one, but when I did, I didn't want to let go. The action picks up and doesn't stop until the very last line of the book. So, I enjoyed it immensely but why 4 stars? Because IMHO, every single character besides Trella was 2-dimensional; No depth at all...

This would have been four stars but I had to penalize for Sheepy.

Snyder creates a world of small hall ways, narrow passages, pipes, vents & Gaps. It's a world full of propaganda that leaves everyone leery of everyone. In it she places, Trella and the scubs, along with them is you. Your right there with Trella as she's squeezing through air ducts, peeking/spying o...
