So, wow, I am really upset that I didn't manage to grab the following volume - which Newbury didn't have - when i got my whole stash. I was reading this, my jaw dropping, unable to put this down. Wow, wow, wow! I never would have guessed any of this had been Tony's origin. And to top off ...
I have not been a Marvel fan, so this is all pretty new to me. Yeah, the movies were a gateway drug, and now I'm inclined to pick up the books to fill in various back stories. Fun stuff. Library copy
My low interest in this book has actually picked up a bit with the Secret Origin arc. It's a silly, unnecessary retcon, sure, but it's a silly unnecessary retcon executed with style. And anyway, I think retcons and fanwanking and no prizes are a lot of the fun in ongoing superhero titles.
