This book was everything I'd hoped it would be: funny, chiefly, but also warm, not what I'd call "inspirational" but definitely...reassuring? Comforting? Its content is eclectic, ranging from memoir-ish to lists and ruminations. I could hear her voice--I mean her actual, physical voice--as I read it...

I only recommend this book if your name is Mindy. I gave it 3 stars because I liked it better than Tina Fey's book, which I gave 2 stars, but maybe Mindys should really get 2.5. It wasn't THAT funny or THAT interesting and I didn't learn much more about her than how she portrays her character on the...

Reading Mindy's book so makes me wish we could be best friends. She is hilarious and unique and not afraid of being her own woman.

The audiobook's better but the essayistic format is really best expressed through Mindy Kaling's conversational tone.

Still, I like that she proudly talks about her parents solid marriage, and her mostly happy childhood. (I am...

This is the first book I read for the Bout of Books read-a-thon and unfortunately it was just meh as Tanya over at Mom's Small Victories put it. When I listed this book as one of my goals, Tanya commented on the post and I couldn't agree more. I think Mindy is funny but I wasn't laughing out loud at...
