3.5 starsThis is a decent enough read. I was worried at first and didn't know if I would make it very far. The heroine was totally in bimbo mode with a fluffy white poodle (I don't do bimbos and poodles). However, we are later educated that her sexy attire is just armour against men (oh yeah, tha...
This book was an easy read for me. I like football, so that part of the story wasn't a hardship. There were some funny moments and awkward...namely OJ Simpson doing an after game interview. It was accurate for the 90's setting this books takes place, but come on, OJ Simpson. I digress, back to t...
This book kept popping up on my recommendations and so, since it was only 99 cents, I decided to give it a try. Now, first, understand that this book is not new. It was originally published in 1994 so there there are no cell phones (though there is a mention of a car phone and what the hero said abo...
I've felt for some time that SEP probably wasn't for me. Every review of her books, even the 5* OMG BEST BOOK EVAR reviews, signaled to me that they'd likely end up in the firestarter bin. Today's events really only cement that for me
At first I didn't think I was going to like it, but I read a review that said that despite the fact the first 50 pages didn't managed to grip her so much, she was glad she continued to read, so I gave it a shot.It was a great read :)
3.5/5; 4 stars; B+This was a re-read for me. I think this might have been the first Susan Elizabeth Phillips books I read. Its not my favorite but its still good. I enjoyed her journey to being a team owner and I think the character of Ronald just about stole the show. SEP does a good job with str...
I thought this was adorable. Very quick read. I hated Bert and how he destroyed both of his daughter's self-esteems so I guess it was good he was dead from the beginning of the book! I want to continue on with this series for sure. This is my first book by SEP, but I'm sure it won't be my last. ...
If you can overlook the fact that this book was written in 1994 and certain things are a little out dated. Then this is a really fun romance novel. But please avoid it if you take "womens lib" overly seriously because these caracters could set the movement back about 40 years.
