I picked up this book for lack of anything else to read, Lillian annoyed me to the third degree in the first book and Westcliff came off as such an asshole. I could just not wrapped my head around liking these two as a romantic couple. However, I picked it up anyways. Boy, was I in for a surprise...

if I thought I loved the first one, then I was obsessed with this one. Marcus was sooo stiff in first book and his contempt for Lillian in that one scene told me that they would have an intense book ahead of them, and it did not disappointFrom contempt to irritating to astonishing to just ravishing ...

This book is worth reading simply for the dinner scene. I mean, I loved it, don't get me wrong. But HRs might not be your thing. The first one is still my favorite. This was a little predictable, I adored Westcliff but Lillian drove me crazy.

Reread for the however-manyeth time and still really enjoyed it. Didn't get into it as much or as quickly as the first one, and took a couple of days to read it. But I was able to read and enjoy it at a time when I'm struggling to get into or finish anything.

I have no idea how I'm supposed to review this book when all I really want to do is find out how Lisa Kleypas manages to redeem St. Vincent in the next book. I'm also feeling immensely grateful that I'm reading this series now instead of when it first came out because the wait for the next book may ...
