Wonder Woman tries to save a friend from the dark path she's chosen. And there is all-out warfare between the surface world and the Kingdom of Atlantis, when a submarine is sabotaged and fires on the underwater city. Good thing the Justice League is ready to stand in the gap!I thought this was a pre...

I liked this one but I didn't fall in love with it. I think that it was all the quips about how Aquaman in nobody's favorite hero, how he talks to fishes, etc. that got old fast. I'd still probably pick up the next volume when I can because the action was spot on.

The New 52 Justice League Volume 4: The Grid is a story where Geoff Johns does his best magician impression and creates a tour de force of comic storytelling. The Grid sequence collects Justice League #18-23, and it starts out as your ho-hum "We have to add some more heroes to the team" sort of st...

Oh, Hal Jordan. You and I have such a terrible relationship, and it was not improved by Rage of the Red Lanterns. To be sure, there is some interesting stuff here, including the birth of a new Corps. and the creation of a new division within the Green Lantern Corps. But the focus of the book - and...

It took me this long, but I think I'm finally getting the hang of The Invisibles. The key thing that I think I was missing before is that I don't have to get it all. There are people who will understand everything that Morrison is alluding to, and my hat's off to those people. I can get enough to fo...

After the stellar debut of Aquaman under the New 52 title, it was a big question as to whether or not one of the famed comic authors Geoff Johns could keep going full steam ahead with a character that seemed dead in the water. Aquaman has always had the stigma of being fruity, or lame, or just plain...

Sinestro is a classic villan, no redeeming features at all and he's wreaking havoc. Assembling his own corps of Anti-Green Lanterns and determined to disassemble them or turn them to his side. It's not very deep but it was an entertaining read.
