Luke and Curtis had my heart from page one. Just Between Us has these beautifully crafted characters that have strengths and flaws making them realistic and making me cheer for them as well as feel right along with them. J.H. has a way of writing relationships that make you fall in love right along ...

I'm still questioning my desire to give this 5 stars because I don't see myself willing to reread this. I'll leave it for now.But this book had me riled up in so many different ways. Despite the fact that I ended the story not necessarily liking any of the characters, I was fully invested in the sto...

Trigger warning - this book deals with a teacher/student relationship and one that doesn't pull a lot of punches. I put it under young adult because there aren't any graphic sex scenes, but sex is alluded to. And often. That said, I ate this book up like a bag of Lays potato chips. I couldn't put it...

Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.Such a controversial subject, done in such a way where the sexual aspect of the forbidden (teacher/student theme) is secondary. Yet the story, the story is strong and realistic and oddly provocative without getting vulgar or trying too hard. The book was an emotional roller coaste...

The book was good. I believed in the connection between Robert and Andrew and was frustrated with Andrew's weakness but I didn't feel overly manipulated which can sometimes happen when dealing with bleakness in a book. This is YA no sex...at all.

This is an intense, emotional and gritty contemporary. I connected with Nate and felt his pain. We see all sides to this relationship, the present and then different things in flashbacks throughout the book. We get to see the uncertainty, the flirting, an even that is traumatic for Nate, and pie...

So bottom line: I Fucking Loved This Book. Now, that said, I must give fair warning because there are some of you out there who are just plain picky, and if you're not going to like it, then you should know now so you can skip it. There are some issues in this book that, while they didn't bother me, ...

It was actually quite good. It's weird for me when I see rl references, probably because I generally read so much high fantasy. Every (rare) time I recognized some of the lyrics, I had a little "Aha!" moment...Also, Robert's a bandie, so BAND GEEK SOLIDARITY!I like the way the emotions are handled. I...
