Jack Carter is in the fast lane
A devilishly handsome man of many talents, Jack manages the Desert Sons clubhouse as its Vice-President and plays it fast and loose. With a different woman in his bed every week and none of them able to tie him down, Jack couldn’t be happier with his life.
Tina Harris likes to play dirty.
A troubled youth since her days at foster care, Tina is a delinquent who’s seen her fair of trouble. Within days of violating her parole, she’s on the run from the police again. Wanted for armed robbery and multiple counts of grand theft auto, she needs a getaway ride--and fast.
When a theft goes wrong, the two find themselves in an unexpected position.
When she tries and fails to steal a vintage Harley Davidson from an unmarked warehouse, things seem to go from bad to worse. Instead of dealing out vigilante justice, Jack recruits the young crook for a high stakes heist where failure is not an option...
The only thing is… he never expected Tina to steal something else from him—something he never thought she'd ever be able to steal.
EXCERPT
“You want me to stay because you like me?” Tina asked, not sure she understood Jack’s meaning.
“That’s most of it, yes.”
Tina was quiet for a moment. She still had half her beer left, but she could tell Jack’s was nearly empty. “You want another?” she asked, gesturing at his bottle with her own. She needed a moment to think.
“I’ll get it,” Jack said as he started to rise, but Tina was quicker.
“Keep your seat. I’ll get it.”
She started to the fridge, but then changed her mind. She turned and swung a leg over Jack’s lap and sat down facing him. It was a tight squeeze between him and the table, but that was no bad thing to her mind. She wrapped her arms loosely around his neck and leaned in, waiting for him to make the next move.
“No beer?” Jack asked with a smile.
“No. I thought of something else I would rather have.”
“You don’t have to do this.”
“I want to.”
“Good,” he said, pulling her into a kiss. “So do I.”
Their lips met as their mouths parted to allow their tongues to dance. After a moment, Jack broke the kiss, and his mouth slid down to her neck where his tongue explored the hollow of her throat. She placed a hand on the back of his head and pulled his lips harder against her as her desire spooled up and made her feel hot and itchy.
Jack kicked the chair back from the table and stood while he held Tina in his arms. She felt as if she weighed almost nothing as she wrapped him up in her arms and legs. He normally went for the more full-figured girls, but there was something about Tina that fired up his desire more than most. He had felt it the first night as she smarted off to—he can’t even remember her name now—Ms. Jeep, as Tina called her. She had moxie, and he liked that. He carried her the dozen steps to his bedroom, banging the door open as he barged through, causing the door to rebound almost closed. He tried to put her on the bed, but she refused to release him until he tumbled over the side with her.
