Beautiful Lies is an interesting book with a good premise that does not stand up. I am still confused as to what happened. I thought for a long time that it was about multiple personality disorder but then that didn't pan out. Was one of the twins a ghost? Do I even care? No, I don't.

This book is beautifully written with an interesting storyline. It has alternating POV's that are both unique and incredibly confusing at times. This is the kind of book you really have to pay attention to otherwise you risk missing something important. For me, it started off well but about a quarte...

What would it be like to be a twin? What would it be like if you felt everything your twin felt? I mean everything! This is the case with Alice and Rachel. They can feel if something is not right with one another or if one is hurting even if they are not even in the same room, it is like a sixth s...

This book was pretty good... only, I know it's a semiautobiography, but seriously:I don't care how bad*** the main character is, you can't drink alcohol, party every night, smoke cigarettes, smoke marijuana, lie about your service hours, and still get into Harvard. Seriously.

Wow, this book left me reeling several times, as the painstakingly developed twists and turns began to unfold. I don’t know how to review this without major spoilers, but I am going to try, so if I am vague, it’s so I don’t spoil any of the suspense. I finished this yesterday, and I am still tryi...

Read This Review & More Like It On My Blog!3.75 out of 5Beautiful Lies is one of those mysteries with a great premise: twins, a special bond, an abduction, and an unreliable narrator to spin the whole tale, making both the readers and the characters unsure of what exactly is going on. Certain segmen...

Raw, realistic and subject matters out of the norm, from the jock christian boy refusing to have sex to the psychotically insane brother who kills cats without really thinking of the consequences. Katie, the main character, is the flower that rose from the pot of dirt. Her family, once poor, is now ...

Okay, so I don't even know how to start this review. I am still trying to figure out this book. It was good, but very confusing. I really like mysteries, but this one just hurt my brain. So right now you are probably thinking, "So did you like it or not?" and my answer is yes, I did like it, but I a...

Uhhh, what?!?! My brain has almost no clue about what it read.. seriously! That was a bit of a mind-bender. I still am not totally sure about what was the truth and what was really going on. I wish a bit more of that got explained. And I had so many theories running through my head the whole time! T...
