Books about the fourth gospel fill library shelves; courses on John are prominent in colleges and seminaries; and film and dramatic presentations based on John are produced every year. John's gospel has inspired Christian believers and challenged biblical scholars since the time of its composition. Why does it inspire? Why does it challenge? In this commentary, Dr. Jonathan D.
