On one level this is a great Suicide Squad story: it focuses on one member while balancing long-standing storylines. It delves into Floyd Lawton's psyche, showing that it's impossible to kill his persona of Deadshot. HIs soul, as it were. Despite his death wish, he's unable to accomplish this. ...

It's fascinating because it uses real world politics and mixes it with the underside of DC, but I'm in it for Deadshot, and meh. Just not that much of him here. I'm hoping for more Deadshot in Volume 4!

The first part of this was Danse Macabre. I didn't really check what issues were in each volume since I was getting them from the library; I just went through and asked for everything with Deadshot, or the Secret Six. My bad. That being said, I reread Control because I like that story enoug...

I had a whole bunch of very minor issues with this: I didn't enjoy it quite as much because there was far less Deadshot, and he's my favorite of this crew by far. The Incubus and Enchantress storyline felt weird, anticlimactic, and particularly rushed with too neat of an ending at the end. The ar...

This book is exactly what the name implies. Frank Castle takes on the various Marvel heroes, and it's usually not pretty. The stories span from the earlier (and cheesier) Marvel days to the more recent Greg Rucka run. My favorite is still the Rucka run. The artwork steals my heart. I love it. Castle...

I have a shiny new obsession! And I'd all be like 'YOU'LL NEVER GUESS!' but I mean, that would be laughable. Deadshot. It's Deadshot. I'm not subtle about these things, at all. And since I read this after seeing the movie, I kept replacing white-Floyd Lawton with Will Smith. For real. ...

The art was good but the story did a whole lot of telling, not showing and didn't make a whole ton of sense.

These are four separate stories, one of which was two issues long. I've seen another review saying this works best if you've read some of the expanded universe - EU - comics before this, so maybe this was why it didn't work for me. I stumbled upon these on Marvel Unlimited - MU - though, and wan...
