Plot-wise--great book, clever story arc and a fantastic ending. As a vampire story (ie was the vampire sufficiently evil, nasty, unromantic and fear inducing?) excellent. Characterization--so so. My main complaint was that the writing style was quite juvenile at times. Overall I gave it 4 stars ...

what a vacation would be like in Oz I wouldn't mind but not if I had to fight in a war. John Skipp does a wonderful job taking us on a trip thru his version of OZ I enjoyed the plot as Well as the talking laptop. Dialouge a little choppy but overall a good read

The premise was to write short fiction based on what happened after George Romero's The Night of The Living Dead. The authors had a field day with this. Most of them go for dark comed...

Wow. And not in a good way. I guess the authors want you to know what happens when you pollute. Reminiscent of Return of the Living Dead (with the sludge, but without the zombies...or not) and a couple of other titles (possible B titles), made this read a jumble of nothing-ness. There was no dread,...

Another interesting take on the Vampire mythology. This is a slasher gore filled adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I really like the take on Vlad that named him as a punk wannabe rather than a vicious vampire himself. Most of the action takes place in the subways and streets of M...
