This was a really interesting and fun book. A little fish steals a hat from a big fish and thinks he can get away with it. And what follows is a really big angry fish following the smaller fish. I absolutely loved the illustrations, they were really beautiful and I loved to see them. Well I would re...
The Dark is an imaginative tale that perfectly explains why there is no reason for anyone - especially young children - to be afraid of the dark. Snicket personifies the dark, but not in the way that one would expect; instead of a sinister, terrifying being, the dark is welcoming, kind, and wise. It...
Laszlo is afraid of the dark. The dark is not afraid of Laszlo. Laszlo lives in a house. The dark lives in the basement. One night, the dark comes upstairs to Laszlo's room, and Laszlo goes down to the basement. This is the story of how Laszlo stops being afraid of the dark. The Dark is a perfect r...

Full review at http://thebookshelfgargoyle.wordpress.com/2012/10/11/mad-marthas-haiku-review-jon-klassens-classics/This is the definitive cautionary tale about hat theft and its consequences. Highly recommended.
Perfect pairing of author and illustrator, where each really enlarges the work of the other. Perfect. The audio book is also fabulous, for those with really young kids who might enjoy hearing it read repeatedly.Library copy.
