Truthfully I couldn't finish this book, which was disappointing because I was wanting to read it. But there was something about the language, and something about the plot that just didn't quite get me. I think it was the fact that the main character basically already knew what she was. Also, the wri...

Enter a world where everything you knew about Demons is about to be tested. The intriguing world that Jon Skovron creates in Misfit will have you turning each page in anticipation. The demons in this story are unique and sometimes quirky and I couldn’t get enough of them. Each one was a new and inter...

Since I love mythology of all cultures, I really enjoyed this book. It encompasses current religious mythology with those of the pagan mythology. I found this fascinating and quite surprising within a YA book. And within this weaving of mythologies we find things we had been taught aren't quite true...

There are so many YA novels out today that feature supernatural beings and occurrences- you have your vampires, your werewolves, your witches, and your wizards- that sometimes its hard to find a truly original and refreshing novel amongst this genre…but I have found such a novel in Jon Skovron’s Mis...

More of my reviews at The Cozy Reading CornerMisfit was so unlike anything else I've ever read and I loved every page of it! Jon Skovron put a whole new twist on the Heaven, Hell, and demon concept that really had my gears turning. Jael, the main character of this book, was a half-breed. She was hal...
