This is one of Stephen King's less popular novels, but I found it very entertaining. His storytelling and character development was still amazing. His novels always take me on an incredible journey and lift me out of a reading rut when I need it.

This book should come with a warning. Once you get past halfway, it gets increasingly difficult to stop reading. Other things get pushed back, like eating, sleeping, paying attention to the kids and getting anything done. Do not try to read just a little more before going to work! One thing you ca...

If, like me, you've been cautiously eyeing this book from afar, wondering if a Hard Case Crime published novel could perhaps be a little too removed from what you're used to from Mr. King, then let me reassure you: you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Sera por su tono melancólico constante, por su historia, por el tono reflexivo sobre las relaciones, la vida, la vejez, el amor..será por todo eso junto. Amo a este Stephen K...

"Joyland" is something different for Stephen King: a hard-boiled detective novel ... despite the absence of a hard-boiled detective. The main character, Devin Jones, goes to work at Joyland, a carnival with a reputation for being haunted by the ghost of a girl murdered on a dark ride. In the process,...

This is an odd one. The cover makes you think you're going to be reading a pulp, Chandleresque caper from the 1930s, complete with tagline "Who Dares Enter the FUNHOUSE OF FEAR?" But the writing and story are much more reminiscent of The Dead Zone--a nostalgic, bittersweet coming-of-age story set in...

Devin Jones is a 21 year old kid who's about to get dumped by the 'love of his life' and just got a summer job at Joyland, an amusement park in North Carolina that just happens to be haunted by a girl murdered there a few years before. I had the best time reading this book. It has nothing scary i...
