One of my treasured finds. This was one of the first books I picked out from my grade school library, and I still love it.
Everything up to about the last 1/4 of the book was amazing.
A fascinating idea: that a girl would live with wolves rather than agree to a repulsive marriage to an unsuitable boy plays out in this book. The wolf section, in which Julie learns to live like a wolf (and, one could argue, she'd be an excellent naturalist) is easily this book's most interesting. F...
