"The greatest love story every told is a lie" that one sentence got me so intrigued that I picked up the book and read Juliet Immortal. I am so glad that who every thought of that line put it right in front of the cover to tempt me into picking up this book. I've never thought I'd be one of those re...

http://fiction-freak.blogspot.com/2012/01/juliet-immortal-by-stacy-jay.htmlSo many of us readers have read, or at least heard about, the tragic love story Romeo and Juliet. And if you haven't heard about the original play, then at least you know Gnomeo and Juliet, right? Anyways, I absolutely love r...

Juliet Immortal grabbed me from the first page and never let go. It was like The Host by Stephenie Meyer meets the movie Sliding Doors. Such a unique and strange combination. I never knew what to expect and it was so creative. The writing was rich and complex. Every word counted. The story took ev...

When I first read the blurb for Juliet Immortal, I knew I had to read it. I had to see this spin on Romeo and Juliet, mostly because I am in the minority with my opinion on R & J. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great tragedy. Tragedy. But I am disturbed by how often it is referred to as a “timel...

The whole idea of the book was great but it was bit flat for me. I will finish it one way or the other.

But while the plot held my attention, there were a few too many plot holes, I couldn't relate to any of the characters, and the mythology of the Mercenaries and Ambassadors wasn't explained well.My biggest co...

Anybody from Denmark? No? Yes? Then, have you ever heard about Solvang? Now, I live in Los Angeles, so people have told me about it countless of times "Have you heard about Solvang? It's the…", "Denmark you say? Then, do you know about Solvang?" Okay, maybe not. But some people have told me about i...

Giving this one star for the concept. I did NOT like this book. Shame too, because Romeo and Juliet is my favorite Shakespeare play. I know how the story is supposed to go, but I felt like Juliet was whiny. Everything fell flat on its face.

FINAL RATING: 1.25 STARSCATCHALLI wanted to like this book. I really did. It was one of those books I heard about by random chance and immediately started counting down the days to its release. It looked that good, and was beautiful besides. And when I finally bought it, with its gorgeous cover, I w...

Another one that snuck up on me. A meaty, dark, updated retelling of this wacko story. A good hard look at teenage infatuation and adult love. Enjoyed the characters and their weird powers, and am looking forward to the sequel! Want moar!!!
