One of my favorite movies growing up and even though the book was different, I still really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more from Crichton.

If you've seen the movie, you know the gist of the plot. Its also safe to say that you're going to find the first half of Jurassic Park mind numbingly boring, because all of it is Crichton explaining how a billionaire managed to make real live dinos. If I hadn't been so familiar with the set-up, I p...

2.5 maybe. So ridiculus. At least the movie had Jeff Goldblume.

At first I wasn't impressed by this. I have something of an aversion to the whole cliched out-of-control EVIL corporation scenario, which practically screams tawdry bestseller to me. I had such a vivid T-Rex dream while reading this book. I still think about it all these years later. Vividly written and so very visual, it remains one of my favorites.

Jurassic Park is proof that a premise means nothing. Think of how easily the premise of JP would fit any random sci-fi channel movie.

Awesome, awesome book. I won't be giving a full review, because, well, everybody knows this and everybody knows it's awesome. Haha.A few things though:* It was quite irritating how the only "verb" with regards to dialogue were thought and said. Even when someone asked a question, it won't be "Malcol...

I’m always a little bit sceptical when it comes to reading a book whose movie adaptation I’ve already seen. There were a lot of tries that didn’t turn out well – for example Timeline, also a book written by Michael Crichton. I really liked the movie and was extremely excited about reading the book o...

I know it's a goofy book but it was so much fun to read. I read it nonstop and had to stay up till the wee hours to finish it. So did my husband.
