I only read the beginning chapters of this book, the part that pertains to children from birth to age 4. But from what I read, I can say that it gives a frank discussion of how to answer questions from small children, how much detail you can give (and what you can maybe skip), and right and wrong wa...

This book tells a true story about two male penguins ,Roy and Silo, who were given an egg and they hatched & raised a baby girl penguin Tango. I read this to Kaito who liked the story & pictures. He thought it's silly that the pair tried to hatch a rock when they could steal an egg. He was pleased w...

I love this story, and Henry Cole's art is, as always, perfect.
Sarah (I like big books and I cannot lie)
A great book for teaching children about tolerance, diversity and equality. A lot of adults could benefit from reading it, too.

This was pretty cute. I can see why they wanted it banned, but really, why bother? It's based on a true story. I think I liked that part the best. The illustrations were adorable. A cute book.

Hi. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm the parent of THAT child. You know, the child who goes into your child's preschool class and announces that not only is her mother going to have another baby, but that the baby is in her uterus, and that most babies come out their mommies' vaginas, but not our b...

A couple of books have already been published about Christian the Lion but this telling is warm and inviting. The two wordless spreads showing Christian, Ace, and John are wonderful.

Note to detractors: THIS IS A TRUE STORY! The art is simple but sweet and fairly colorful considering the pictures are of penguins in their barren habitat. The story is beautifully told, with a minimum of anthropomorphizing. It's just one of those feel good books that you just have to read. I recomm...
