I read this as an "in-between Game of Thrones palate cleanser," as Karin Kallmaker can usually be counted on for some fluffy, quick and easy reads. However, I didn't care for this as much as I do her other books. She really didn't go into depth with the character of Charlie, and their getting togeth...

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I did find it very predictable and easy to figure out. BUT I liked the ending quite a bit. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. I rounded down because of the predictability. And a little because an Escort is a Ford, not a Subaru.

I absolutely loved this book. Fantastic attention to character background that is too often lacking. Could not put it down.
Title and Statement of Responsibility
Actually an interesting narrative structure to it, including characters who developed! Could have done without the "letters to self" format . . .
Title and Statement of Responsibility
Not my favorite, a little too issue-centric. I couldn't get into the characters as much as I would have liked.
Title and Statement of Responsibility
2.5 stars. I've read this one twice now and it's still not my thing.
Title and Statement of Responsibility
2.5 stars. This read like a straight Harlequin romance, with a "secret" and many flashbacks and a lot of drama. Not really my cup of tea.
