I was really excited to read this book. I thought it was going to be one of those really thought provoking studies of character, and in some ways it was, but then other times... She really knows how to talk doesn't she? Eva goes on and on and on.... and I'll have read a page, go back over it and rea...

The book follows Freddie as he recounts his time spent in France, where he goes to escape the demons haunting him since his brother's death. The descriptions are beautiful and the characters interes...

(actually 3.5 rounded down) To be honest, there was a lot more in this book that I liked than I disliked, but I think it's mostly the writing and organization that gives this novel a low rating. Pacing was not consistent throughout the novel and it put me off. It starts off at a very slow, deli...

so many people raved about this book and I enjoyed her Sepulchre so perhaps I was expecting more but there didn't seem to be any direction just a rambling mish-mash but maybe that is the point I don't know.I felt that this was a short story stretched into a short book as a filler between greater tom...

I read Labyrinth on summer holiday years ago and really enjoyed it, but have only just gotten round to reading Mosse’s follow-up novel Sepulchre. Although advertised as a series, I will say now that there was nothing in this novel that will be confusing if you have not read Labyrinth, there’s a refe...
