I remember reading that Rachel Caine had had a 6-book plan set out for the Morganville series when she started out. Kiss of Death is book 8 – and her lack-of-overarching-plan is kinda starting to show.Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed Kiss of Death. Caine’s verse is as addictive as ever. I lov...

Excellent! I really love this series. Claire is the best girl-hero ever! She's tough, and she's got mad skills, and she's smart. Of course, she also has the hottest boy-friend :D

You know how it gets when you're really into a series, and the number of books in that series starts inching closer to the double-digits, and you get that itty-bitty niggle of worry that this book will not be as good as you're expecting?Boy, was that a run-on or what? This book did not leave me as exhausted as I sometimes feel with Caine's books. Exhausted in a good way. There is never that strong emotional connection, but I like them more for the action and quick read they provide. I may blame the fact that I stopped midway to read Spirit Bound and then picke...

In this 8th installment of the Morganville Vampires series, the kids hit the road on an adventure. Michael's music career is taking off and he gets a chance to leave the confines of Morganville to record a demo. Eve, Shane and Claire get to tag along on the road trip with Oliver as a chaperone. The ...

This is my least favorites of this series. What happened to Eve's character ? She acted dumb as a stick, what's up with the food lust ? She almost ruined the story for me. Claire, Shane, Micheal and Oliver take over in this book, while Eve just causes problems. They finally get to leave Morganville,...
